Sheela Hota-Mitchell, PhD

I love science, but more importantly, I love helping clients convey their science to the audience of their choice. 

I have been a freelance academic writer and editor since 2001.


My editing projects have included academic manuscripts, grant proposals, Canadian provincial government agency reports, website content, patient brochures, literature reviews, and quarterly technical digests.


I am an avid volunteer: with my community association and the University of Alberta Women's Club (board member: programs chair). I also am enthusiastic about fitness and teach Zumba (licensed since 2017) at gyms and virtually
